Enjoy the concert! At home – with the award-winning H-5500 Phono-stage

In our previous post, we talked about the new L-6500 pre-amp and other news – but because it’s earning such rave reviews from professionals and purchasers, we want now to take another look at the H-5500 phono-stage, award-winning and at $5200 selling very, very well!

Audiophilia’s and part-time audiophile’s are just the first of many awards, we’re sure, for this fully loaded, amazing sounding (not just for the money!), and amazingly flexible and well-built phono-stage. The latest in the line of Allnic’s lowest cost phono-preamps, replacing the extremely well-regarded H-1202, the H-5500 has turned out to be, simply, a bit of a tour-de-force. Coming soon, we’ll also have a translated H-5500 review for you – from Poland’s respected high-end audio magazine, HiFi KnightsHIFI KNIGHTS website

Also available in silver.

When we say that the H-5500 is loaded and flexible, we mean it. The H-5500 offers dual MC and MM inputs and MC step-up transformers that are the same as in Allnic’s H-7000 and flagship H-8000 phono-stages! It also features NOS tubes, separate channel analog current meters for monitoring the tubes, and Permalloy output transformers just as its bigger siblings sport.  Weighing in at 8.2kg/18lbs, it’s truly a sturdy, vibration resistant machine. Take a look at the H-5500 product page for the full list of specifications H-5500 product page

We’re experiencing brisk sales indeed, and customers are taking advantage of our trade-in offer. We have great H-1201 and H-1202s, as well as phono-preamps by other manufacturers, coming in, but we need more – and we’re offering very generous trade-in values. Check in with us, Hammertone Audio, Corby’s Audio, or Kevalin Audio (USA) frequently to see what you could be tempted by! Contact info below.

Now, we don’t mean to tease (oh, yes we do), but there are a couple of other things coming down the line from Allnic… On the analog side, a new phono-stage, a model between the H-5500 and the H-7000, is coming. The H-6500 will replace the H-1500 Plus (just as the H-5500 replace the H-1202) and will be exactly parallel in the product line-up to the L-6500 line-stage preamp. SO, there will be again the flexibility of having four Allnic phono-stages from which to choose.

On the digital side, Allnic’s flagship DAC, the D-5000 DHT is out of production. Replacing it, and already under test, will be the D-10,000 DAC. In addition to new digital circuitry, it will have, like the L-8500, 9000 and 10,000 preamps, an OTL/OCL tube output stage – the first in the world! The feedback on the test units has been that it’s, as KS Park put it, shockingly good. We can hardly wait.

More innovation, more brilliant design, more product range, and more exceptional performance – what we’ve come to expect from KS Park and Allnic – are on the way. The Allnic universe truly does continue to expand.
